The best long-form conversation show
The beauty of JRE is that it has no agenda. Joe genuinely wants to learn and he lets conversations go wherever they need to go. The episodes with scientists and researchers are particularly mind-expanding.

Inconsistent but often brilliant
Some episodes are absolute masterclasses in conversation — others can go off the rails. But even the bad ones are kind of fascinating. I skip around in the long episodes but never skip the show entirely.
