About
Sarah Turney knows what it means to be left behind. Her mother Alissa Turney went missing in 2001 when Sarah was eleven years old. Years later, Sarah's investigation of the case helped lead to her stepfather's arrest and conviction. She now uses what she learned — about how to investigate, how to keep pressure on law enforcement, and how to tell a story that makes people care — to help other families of missing persons. The Final Hours covers cold cases of missing people, prioritizing cases where law enforcement has moved on but families haven't. Sarah brings the perspective of someone who lived through what these families are living through, and her empathy and determination come through in every episode.
